Kada Parshaad has a religious significance, and is offered to all visitors at Gurudwaras
1 Cup Whole Wheat Flour
1 Cup Ghee
1 Cup Sugar
3 Cups Water
Mix the sugar and water in a pan and boil till the sugar melts completely.
In a heavy bottomed pan add the flour and ghee.
On a low flame, keep stirring till the flour darkens in colour and starts emitting a delicious aroma.
Switch off the flame.
Now add the boiled water-sugar, taking care to keep stirring as you do ( you might need to step back a little as the mixture tends to splutter)
Mix well till smooth.
Switch on the flame and on a low flame keep stirring till the mixture leaves the sides of the pan.
Transfer to another container and garnish with dry fruits.
P:S: I used just 1/2 a Cup of Ghee, instead of 1 Cup and the Halwa still tasted great:)
