5 Small Joys I am Thankful for #ThankfulThursdays Week 21

Posted on 22 March 201723 March 2017 by Mayuri Sharrma

From the time I was a little girl I have heard my Mum say, ‘Whatever brings you Joy, you must be Thankful for’ As I grew older these words proved to be truer and truer. I not only find myself being Thankful for things that brought me joy, I also found myself being thankful for the small joys that every day brought. Small joys we may overlook as they may have become part of life. Small joys which make our life easier and perhaps better as well.

When I bought myself a Kindle I did not realize the joy of of that slim device holding 150 + books would bring me, apart from the convenience of course. The Kindle has become an accessory that goes into my purse even before my lipstick does. My Reading continues uninterrupted no matter where I am, without the gut wrenching fear of a book coming to an end and me not carrying another.

Online Shopping is yet another joy I am always thankful for. With sites like Amazon.in and Jabong you can sit in the comfort of your armchair and browse through an exhaustive amount of merchandise, each one at competitive pricing, and if you’re lucky at great discounts as well. The easy exchange and returns have made a fearless shopper out of me!:)

Home Delivery has made life infinitely easier. From my favorite Pizza to my Medicines, I am Thankful to be living in a place where everything I need is just a phone call away and before I know it it is in my hands.

A few mornings a week, I walk out of my building gate and cross the road to buy vegetables. The sight of the glistening greens and plump veggies gladden my heart and I find joy in picking out each fresh produce by hand.

And last, but not the least, I am Thankful for Wi-Fi. It has become such a part of our lives that I forget it’s presence, until it stops even for a minute and then I panic like mad!

So, this was my list. What are the Joys you’re thankful for? Do share.

Enjoyed your list, except for Kindle I share them all. But then I have my library membership. I do still prefer paper books.

Shopping we share that. Online and offline both I think a perfect stress buster what say? Home delivery through websites and apps has made life much better and convenient.

Treating yourself to something nice at the shops – online or offline apparently has a ‘lasting positive impact on mood’ and leaves ‘few if any negative emotional side-effects’. Having extremely fast wifi makes me happy too and when it is slow or down I get panic attacks.
