Technology is a wonderful thing! As much as we may rue the breakneck speed at which it moves forward, we can’t thank it enough for making our lives easier.
For, if it wasn’t for technology, I wouldn’t be typing this post on my sleek laptop that weighs almost next to nothing. I remember the clunky desktop computer days and can’t imagine going back to it.
We are doing up our home and do you know what I am looking forward to getting the most? Smart lights! Why? Because The Husband is someone who has the habit of switching on every light in every room the moment he enters the house! The electricity bill each month makes me cringe! Also it is tiring, and extremely annoying, to follow him like Mary’s little lamb and switch off unwanted lights. I can’t wait to have the control of the smart lights on my phone, and change the brightness levels according to my mood! I am sure the electricity bill will no longer make me cringe.
With the house being done up there is a lot of running around to do. The list of things needed by the decorators is endless, and our house has been taken over by workmen. Needless to say, my routine has gone for a toss. I have no time to eat right or exercise.
Which is why I have started taking the stairs instead of the lift and walking to almost everywhere I can.
I have set myself a target of covering 10 k steps every day. My Smart Wearable Fitness Tracker helps me keep track of whether I cover them or not. The day I finish my 10 k steps, I am motivated for the next day. Then there are days I miss hitting the 10 k mark, so that spurs me to do better! Seeing those numbers on the tracker is what keeps me going!
After getting Smart Lights The Husband thinks we should no longer rely on external security and install a Smart Camera too. I am all for getting a Smart Home, as long as I can control it all at the touch of a button!
Getting smarter means letting technology work for you, to make your life smoother. With so many options available in the market there is something to suit every taste and budget.
So, are you already smart or planning on getting smarter?
My father has been talking about getting smart lighting for a while now but I have been a little skeptical about this new technology. Your post is quite assuring for me in terms of its positive impact.
