Jack stepped back and looked up at his dream home. After 6 months of hard labour the house was ready.
Gleaming wood floors reflected the traditional bay windows that let in soft sunshine. If you stood at the windows, or lounged on the window seats in the bedrooms, you looked out at the serene lake.
The wraparound porch was ideal, to sit out on summery afternoons with a pitcher of lemonade next to you. Or to warm yourself around a fire in winters, with marshmallows dotting a huge mug of hot chocolate, his favourite.
Jack stepped back and looked up at his dream home. Yet another dream fulfilled, yet another job well done, he smiled to himself and he packed up his tools and left, along with the other workmen.
