Things to Do with Kids in Toronto

Posted on 11 April 2022 By Mayuri Sharrma

Toronto is a fantastic city for artists and art enthusiasts. There are numerous art galleries and cultural centers to visit. There are numerous festivals and museums dedicated to culture. In general, Toronto is a very safe city, and efforts are being made to further reduce the city’s already low crime rate. In Toronto, multiculturalism is ingrained in the culture. It can be found in art, festivals, food, and other companies, among other places. Overall, if you plan on having a family in Toronto, the increased costs of child care, homes for sale in Toronto, additional food, and miscellaneous costs mean that you must have your finances in order. When it comes to keeping the kids engaged, Toronto has plenty of options; attractions such as the Toronto Zoo and the Ontario Science Center are guaranteed to keep the kids happy. Take a ferry to the adjacent Toronto Islands if the weather permits.

Ontario Science Center

If you’re looking for things to do in Toronto with kids, the Ontario Science Centre in Queens Park is a good place to start. There are a variety of educational activities to participate in, and visitors are guaranteed to depart with either knowledge or a great souvenir from the gift shop. Although this museum is located outside of the city, it is well worth the trip, particularly if you have a Toronto City Pass.

Toronto Zoo

The Toronto Zoo is one of Canada’s largest animal shelters. It is home to more than 5,000 species and offers fun educational and conservation opportunities for visitors of all ages. The Toronto Zoo is home to a diverse assortment of creatures that are not found in any other zoo in Canada. The way the animals are placed will also assist your children in learning which animals come from which countries. Visiting the zoo is without a doubt one of the most exciting family activities in Toronto.

Casa Loma

The Casa Loma is a stunning 18th-century Gothic Fortress that sticks out among the city’s primarily Victorian architecture. Paintings by the Group of Seven, a group of well-known Canadian landscape artists, may be found in one of the rooms. The paintings in the room depict picturesque views from all throughout Canada.

LEGOLAND

Apart from being one of Toronto’s many great attractions for kids, Discovery Centre allows them to let their imaginations run wild. They also feature a MINILand, which is a model of Toronto and houses the store’s most valuable LEGO parts.

Bingemans

For you and your kids to frolic in, Bingemans boasts the largest waterpark in Kitchener. There’s even a heated pool where you can unwind. If you’re seeking interesting activities to do in Toronto with kids, this is a great option. Furthermore, playing at the center can help your children develop an interest in the building sector.

CN Tower

There are many kid-friendly activities available at the CN Tower. The elevator, for example, is built of glass and provides a premium view of Downtown’s most picturesque locations from a high vantage point. When you reach the top, you can take the Edgewalk, which allows you to safely walk along the CN Tower’s edge, high above the Toronto skyline. It’s a thrilling experience. After all of the excitement, you’ll most likely be hungry, which is where the 360 Restaurant comes in. You can get good meals with a side of good surroundings if you go to the restaurant.
