I have just one skin care routine; I never mess with my skin. I keep away from chemical based creams, lotions and face-washes as much as I can. Which is why I am always on the lookout for natural DIY recipes for beauty and health care.

I eliminate hair fall and ensure a thick hair growth of glossy hair with my home- made Miracle Hair Oil.
I ensure good strong teeth and oral health with regular Oil Pulling.
I keep my skin blemish and breakout free with a natural Face Wash

If you are part of any whatsapp group, you would be familiar with the amount of forwards you receive. One such forward mentioned a Honey – Banana face pack, without any additional details. Ripe bananas in the kitchen and the curiosity to know more about the mentioned face pack led me to Google  it. A lot of options popped up and I read through them and came up with one that I hoped would work best for me. With combination skin, that is extremely sensitive, I always need to be extra careful with what I use on it.

Since all the ingredients needed were at hand I whipped up the pack immediately.

Banana-Honey-Beauty-Sirimiri

Ingredients

A piece of ripe or over ripe Banana, chopped ( 1/4th piece of a large Banana and half of the small variety)

½ Tsp Organic Honey (use any good quality regular honey you have at hand)

A generous splash of freshly squeezed Lemon Juice

Honey-Banana-Beauty-Sirimiri
All the ingredients mashed together look like this

Method

Mash the chopped banana to pulp.

Add the honey and lemon juice and mash together till well mixed.

Keep aside for a few minutes.

Wash your face well and pat dry.

Apply the mask on your face and spread it evenly

Leave it on for at least 20 minutes. Half an hour, if possible.

Wash off with regular tap water.

Pat skin dry.

Using this face pack left my skin dewy soft, moisturised and toned. I love how my skin looks and feels and I can’t stop touching my face again and again.

This pack is suitable for all skin types. I use it twice a week. Since all products are natural it should not cause any skin issues.

I use a banana and honey pack and that makes my skin very soft. But never added lemon to it. Will try with lemon next time and let you know the results. Thanks for sharing all these DIY recipes with us Mayuri.

I have used banana and honey in a face pack when I was in my teens .My mom used to make .But never added lemon to it.Lemon juice by itself makes my skin tingle but adding the other two ingredients should make it okay .Loved the tip.

I use besan in my banana, honey and malai pack since I have drier skin. Nothing works like homemade packs. My favorite quick glow pack is besan, turmeric and haldi. Works, every single time.

I have used lemon and honey for face and banana for hair. This seems perfect remedy for happy skin as all these ingredients are super good. Thanks for sharing another miracle remedy with us.

For the laziest person on Earth with respect to skin care, this is something so very within limits one! And best part is the fact that all ingredients are fresh and at arm’s length.
    Sure gonna try that.

I haven’t used it yet though have read about it several times. Was on a lookout for a homemade pack as due to rigorous swimming these days my swim is loosing its moisture and is terribly dull. Will definitely try this one out. Thanks ♥️

I did use this face pack once and agree that it makes the skin softer and moisturises it well. Time for me to get back to this routine. Thanks for reminding me, M.

Very useful info, I will definitely give this a try. Finally, we get a good skin mashup for over ripe bananas that aren’t easy to eat.

Tried Banana, Milk and Honey for face and the same for hair too… I swear, you will not go for any other face products.
