Of Blogging and passing the Baton #BlogchatterEBookCarnival

Posted on 25 June 201825 June 2018 By Mayuri Sharrma

I take on the Baton of Blogchatter Ebook Carnival from Sona whose ebook ‘Finding Your Writing Flow’ is also part of the mix.

About Sona’s ebook:

Simple and profound at the same time, this little book guides you through self doubt, offering tips to help you find inspiration, staying productive, getting better at your craft and renewing yourself as a writer.

When you run a part of the relay and pass on the baton, there is no sense of unfinished business in your mind. There is just the sense of having done your part to the best of your ability. That is it. The hope is to pass on the baton to somebody who will run faster and run a better marathon – N. R. Narayana Murthy

Passing the Baton, I really love this term Blogchatter uses for the grand finale of their Ebook Carnival. It is a fitting term isn’t it, for a community exercise where for one whole month bloggers participating in the AtoZChallenge come together to write and egg each other on. The result?  Those who choose to be, turn ebook authors at the end of it! How awesome is that

In a way we’ve passed on the Baton to ourselves too, haven’t we, as we graduate from being Bloggers to turning Authors.

I wrote my first ebook last year, and so loved writing every post. The feeling of seeing the blogposts compiled into a book was a feeling that is inexplicable. I had to back out from the ATOZ at the last moment this year, but Blogchatter graciously suggested that I could add it to the ebook carnival this year as well. Of course I agreed, as doing so made me feel like I was part of this year’s challenge too.

As I was writing this post I realised that passing the baton could also translate to what is next.

So what is next for you, dear 1st time ebook authors? As for me, I am in the midst of planning another Ebook. What would it be about? Keep watching this space for more!

I pass on the Baton of Blogchatter Ebook Carnival to Tina whose ebook ‘Bhumi’ is also part of the mix.

About Tina’s ebook:

‘Bhumi’ is an ode to womanhood where you will see real women come alive unlike their stereotypical counterparts on celluloid. Read at leisure and pick any chapter as each is a complete story.

For their weekly Blog Hop, one of the prompts by Blogchatter for this week was, ‘Would you rather visit Moon or Mars?’. Mars! Mars! I want to visit Mars! Why? That’s where the men are supposedly from! ‘Men are from Mars and Women are from Venus’, remember this line? How…
