‘What did the others have to say about his outburst?’ asked Anju as she stirred sugar into her tea.
‘Nothing at all.’ replied Priya, getting herself a cup.
‘How about Vaishali?’ asked Anju.
‘She pretended we were invisible.’ replied Jahnvi.
‘He called us ‘you feminists!’ exclaimed Priya.
‘He also shook his finger at us when he said it.’ Jhanvi rolled her eyes.
‘How dare you girls think you’ll deserve what you asked for!’ were his words.’ added Sunila.
‘We are ‘corrupting the others’ apparently!’ Minal joined Jhanvi in the eye rolling.
The rain fell steadily and there was silence as the girls seemed lost in thought. They looked at each other, unsaid words hovering in the air. Their request for equality at work had been turned down, once again. They could feel tears pricking their eyes but burst out laughing instead. Sticking true to their motto, ‘Vanity is my Sanity’.

Yeh… could link up my tale this time!!!
Never an easy fight and people say why dont you call it equality instead of feminism .. nice use of the prompt Mayuri
A lot said with a story. The fight that only brings tears?
May well be a true story somewhere. Gender equality and parity seems no where near reach. Clever use of prompt.
Gender inequality and glass ceiling will dissolve one day and the Sun shine of the fairness to all will prevail.
Creative take on the prompt Mayuri.
