The Shoes #FridayFotoFiction

The spring sun shone down brilliantly on the mountains and valley below. Little tufts of grass were fighting their way upwards from in between the crevices of the rocks. The Goats were grazing peacefully, enjoying the sweet new grass. The silence was punctuated by a weak bleat. A Goat jerked up and began loping ahead, a few more joined her. They bleated in unison till their owner came to them and looked at their pleading eyes. A head count told him that 3 of the kids were missing. The search, that continued till sundown, was futile.

Six months later Paris celebrated the newest designer in town. His fashion shows were a sell out and his designs were sold out even before they were exhibited. ‘I have ordered myself those kidskin boots’, whispered the highest paid model in the world, ‘Can’t wait to slip my feet into those shoes’.

P:S: Kidskin or Kid Leather is a a soft leather made from kid skin or lamb skin. The young of a Goat is called Kid. Killing or harming animals, for fashion and beauty, is the cruelest thing in the world. Stop using products made from animal skin or those tested on animals.

  1. Loved how well you translated the whole tale for a moral. Being fashionable on someone else’s expense/life is unethical and must be stopped immediately.
Beautiful take on the prompt. Love it
