Super spicy Dry Red Chilly Chutney!

Ingredients
  • Oil: 1 Tsp
  • Mustard Seeds (Rye): ½ Tsp
  • Methi Dana: ¼th Tsp
  • Urad Dal: 2 Tsps
  • Ginger: 1 inch piece, peeled and diced
  • Tamarind: 2-3 Inch piece, depending on the sourness of it
  • 10-12 Dry Red Chillies, of your choice
  • Jaggery: ½ Inch Piece
  • Salt: To taste
Instructions
  1. In a non-stick pan heat the oil
  2. Add the rye and methi dana and stir till rye starts spluttering
  3. Add the ginger and sauté for a minute or 2 more
  4. Add the urad dal and stir for a minute
  5. Add the chillies and sauté till urad dal starts changing colour
  6. Switch off the flame and set aside to cool
  7. In a blender add the above ingredients, along with the tamarind, jaggery and salt
  8. Grind to a smooth paste along with a little water
  9. Garnish with chopped coriander
  10. Enjoy!
