Besan Laddoo

Makes 12 medium sized laddoos
  • ¾th Cup Besan Flour
  • ¾th Cup Castor Sugar or Powdered Sugar
  • ( Using Castor Sugar gives it a grainy texture and enhances the taste. If you don't have Castor Sugar at home, just run regular sugar in a mixie once.)
  • 4 Tablespoons Ghee
  1. in a heavy bottomed pan heat ghee on a low flame, till it melts
  2. Add the besan flour to it and mix well together
  3. Keep stirring , on a low flame, till the mixture starts changing colour and emits an aroma
  4. (We don't need it to become brown)
  5. Now add the sugar to the above mixture
  6. Mix well, keeping the flame low throughout, till it all comes together, forming a mass
  7. Switch off flame.
  8. Cool completely, before shaping into balls.
