My Checklist for an Active Lifestyle

Posted on 12 January 2022 by Mayuri Sharrma

Being on the move is something I enjoy. I like being hands-on and up and about, doing things. I prefer walking instead of using a vehicle when the weather permits. Picking up my shopping bags has become a habit now. Choosing to take the stairs rather than using the elevator is an option I often take. Yes, I can say that I have an active lifestyle.

It is a choice I have made and practice every day. As laziness tends to creep in without you realizing it and stays there if you let it, I plan my daily routine the previous night and see to it that I start my day right.

I have tried various fads and habits over the years, and have ultimately decided on these simple steps that have seamlessly become part of my life. The bonus is that I can follow these simple steps wherever I go, even on a holiday or while traveling for work.

Checklist-Active-Lifestyle-Limcee-Sirimiri

My simple checklist for an active lifestyle includes;

Going for regular morning walks: I wake up looking forward to a brand new day, and my daily morning walk. Sleeping early, and at roughly the same time every day has helped me more than I could imagine. I get my quota of sleep, wake up fresh and ready for my brisk walk. Start to go is my belief and a good, brisk walk sets the tone for my day and helps me feel all charged up.[1] The walking, the fresh air, and the sunshine add towards a complete feeling of well-being.

Healthier state of mind: Taking care of my body is not enough as I feel taking care of my mind is equally important. When the mind and body both work in tandem, it helps us in every way. Meditation, deep breathing, reading, doing crosswords, and listening to music are what works for me. Doing things I enjoy makes me feel good, and keeps me alert. Helping people as much as I can and practicing gratitude adds to a feeling of mental wellbeing.[2]

Regular health check-up: As a family, we believe in the adage, ‘prevention is better than cure.’ This is why regular health check-ups have been part of our health care routines. Our bi-annual health check-ups keep us informed and updated for good health.

Stay hydrated and include nutrition on my plate: Food and water are the fuel everybody needs to function.[3] Following our doctor’s advice, I and my partner have added Limcee vitamin C chewable 500 mg tablet for quite some time now to help boost immunity and sustain it while we carry on our daily routine. My water intake is equally crucial for me and I keep myself adequately hydrated by sipping water throughout the day.

These simple steps have contributed to keeping me active and agile. What do you do to stay active? I look forward to knowing your steps in the comments.

    Regular Morning Yoga and Evening walks are the two things that keep me fit and active. And like you, we too don’t miss our health checkups.
