Miracle-Pack-Sirimiri

If you’re a regular reader of my blog, chances are that you have read my Miracle Oil Recipe. If you haven’t read it yet, here it is.

After the wonderful effects of the Hair Oil I look to my friend Ensiya, yes the same one who shared the Miracle Oil recipe with me, for homemade beauty products. Ensiya is into all things natural and DIY.

Due to recent changes in weather and lots of traveling I had developed a tan, my skin had been breaking out, and looked tired.

When I visited Ensiya recently and asked if she could help she not only shared the recipe for the face pack but whipped it up immediately and asked me to apply it immediately.

The results of just a single application made me believe that regular application would achieve the results I am looking for. Share on X I have been using it for a little over 15 days now and the results have made me happy enough to share it with you all! Here goes!

Miracle-Face-Pack-Sirimiri

Ingredients for the pack:

1 heaped tsp Aloe Vera Gel

A generous pinch of Kasthuri Manjal (You CANNOT substitute it with regular turmeric)

½ heaped Tsp of Milk Powder

(I have used the ingredients without measuring them and the above is a rough estimate. Do try this equation till you find a suitable one)

Method:

Mix all the ingredients well. If you’re using fresh Aloe Vera gel, you will need to run the ingredients in a blender to get a smooth paste. If using store-bought / ready-made gel, no blending is required. Just mix all ingredients together.

The paste you get through any of the above methods will be slightly runny and NOT thick.

Apply a film of this pack on your face and neck, in upward strokes. Smoothen it and let it dry. When dry, wash off with regular tap water.

Ingredients and their Properties:

Aloe Vera Gel: Aloe Vera is a coolant and soothes the skin. Fresh gel from an Aloe Vera Plant is always preferred but you could buy store-brought Organic Gel if you don’t have access to an Aloe Vera plant at home. An Aloe Vera plant is super easy to grow and is low maintenance. Get one for yourself if you can.

Kasthuri Manjal: Kasthuri Manjal is also known as wild turmeric. It has anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial, and antioxidant properties. This is Turmeric used for beauty purposes only. You CAN NOT use regular kitchen turmeric instead of Kasthuri Manjal.

Milk Powder or Dairy Whitener: Milk powder moisturizes and softens skin. Any brand of regular Dairy Whitener will do.

I bought my ingredients from an Organic Store. They are also available on Amazon.

Benefits of using the pack:

Pigmentation? Tan? Tired-looking skin? This is the pack for you!

Soothes and softens skin.

Brightens skin.

Gets rid of, and controls, breakouts.

Gives an even tone to the skin.

Makes skin glow.

Do note:

This pack can, and ideally should be applied every day, if not every alternate day.

Both Men and Women can apply it.

This pack is suitable for all skin types. I have combination skin and use it every day.

If you have acne-prone skin and/or Oily skin you could add a little more of the Kasthuri Manjal as it is an antiseptic and heals skin.

If you have dry or very dry skin, add a little more of the Milk Powder.

  1. I have to find Kasthuri manjal. Never heard if it before. I am surely trying this as it looks easy to make and apply. The best thing is that it’s tried and tested by you.

  2. This is so easy and can be made in a jiffy. I am fan of your Miracle Hair Oil, looking ahead to try this one soon.
Where do I find Kasthuri Manjal Mayuri? If you can recommend any place or store.

  3. This looks easy, M. I think Kasthuri Manjal is what we call Aambehalad. It is used only for application and has superb qualities. Regular use gives skin a great glow.
Am definitely trying this one out!

    1. Just to prove how good this really is. Had been down and under for a while and my skin was looking tired and drawn. This face pack made me feel and look refreshed almost immediately. This is indeed a keeper.

  4. I always am on a lookout for home remedies for tan as I am quite a beachy person and I am sure this is going to be a find. I trust I will get Kasthuri Munjal or wild turmeric in Pune. Thank you so much to you and your friend Ensiya ♥️

    1. You can use honey. Aloe doesn’t suit me too and I have been using the face mask with honey for the past 1 month. It definitely saved my skin.

  5. Added “Kasthuri Manjal” to my grocery list. Goodness of home made potion and ease of use is what attracts me. This pack suits my “lazy” taste of mind, specially on the self care front, too! Thanks for sharing it Mayuri.

  6. As I have inflammatory skin problem because of hormonal imbalance I have to go through lot of skin problem so if it works it is going to be very very helpful.
