Used to
More often than not people get habituated and hooked on to Tarot Readings.
They start seeking help and answers to every major and minor issues in their life though Tarot, dulling they own powers of reasoning and decision making.

Though this dependency is great for business, a good Tarot Reader will never encourage this sort of emotional dependency and will gently wean the client off while he/she encourages and nudges them towards creating inner confidence required for independent decision making.

  1. A group of us girls took a weekend trip to celebrate a milestone birthday. For kicks, we had our cards read. Two of us got good readings but the birthday girl got a negative one. That really put a damper on that getaway.

  2. I must do this at least once, Mayuri. Hopefully, next time we meet? 🙂

  3. That is a good point, Mayuri. Tarot is a very good guiding tool. But it should never overrule our own powers of rational thinking and judgement.

  4. Oh, Tarot! I'm just coming to your blog now, as the challenge is winding down. I'll have to come back and read all these posts.

I agree with your philosophy around the Tarot being a good tool for guiding you into how to think about a problem or situation, but it can't replace common sense and good judgement.

  5. People try to take the guessing out of life thorough the use a tarot cards, but I think it's better not to be swayed by those things.

  6. Making my way around on the A to Z Road trip! Stopping by to say hello and I hope to see you again next year, if not sooner!
