Card Talk: Shining the light on everything about Tarot

Q

is for

Querent

Querent is a Latin word for ‘The Seeker’ or ‘The one who seeks’
The person who is questioning, and recieving the interpretation of the cards is known as the Querent. Unlike popular belief, it is actually the Querent who holds the power and not the Reader.
A Reader is just a medium who interprets the question asked by and the cards picked by the Querent.

  1. Interesting concept that the Querent holds the power. Something to ponder over.

  2. that's interesting!!

  3. Wow! I I had no idea that the Seeker held the power and not the Reader. Thanks for sharing. 🙂

  4. I tried to post here earlier and couldn't, so I'm back to try again! My mother has been a reader for YEARS. She has always said that the "power" is the seeker, that she, the reader, is the conduit. And, I hate when I see on TV or in movies the Death card being used negatively, and always portraying death when in fact it actually means change, and only that. Because change is a death of something in a way, like the change of seasons… Lisa, co-host AtoZ 2015, @ http://www.lisabuiecollard.com

  5. Interesting fact that I didn't know! Hmmm, and interestingly enough my Q word is Questioning! 😉 <3 (www.xpressyouressence.blogspot.ca)
