Card Talk: Shining the light on everything about Tarot

Misconceptions
When people find out I am a Tarot Card Reader I am asked if I have special powers/ was born with this knowledge/practice black magic/witch craft, and the like.
My answer is, and will always be, NO, disappointing quite a few.
My 1sttime Clients usually expect to see me swathed in long, flowing robes, with a dozen bangles and bracelets jangling at my wrists and sitting in a dark room with fumes from burning incense creating a smoky and mysterious setting. They are a tad disappointed to walk into my well-aired and well-lit office and see me dressed in smart semi-formal wear.
Funnily enough I am also asked if ‘I eat non-veg’ (yes, I do) ‘pray all day’(surely not!) ‘get angry’ (do I have a temper or what!) and ‘use foul language’ (huh!?) and the likes.
There is almost always a long, grilling question and answer session by my clients before we start the actual Reading:)
And I see to it that I answer each and every question asked with utmost patience because hey, Misconceptions must be cleared!:)

  1. People expect to see flowing robe wearing, bracelets , necklace laden persons when they go to astrologers, tarot readers, crystal healers. I am a crystal and angel healer 🙂

  2. Haha! This is really cool. Though I am quite guilty of the outfit thing. I guess I just can't picture a woman wearing a pencil skirt and buttoned blouse whipping out tarot cards. I guess that is surprising for your clients. 🙂

  3. This is the weekend before the last full week of A to Z. You’re amazing for staying with us this long. Thanks for your commitment. You’re almost there. This event only happens once a year, so get ready for the home stretch!
